0 HARUSKAH NAMA YAHWEH DIGUNAKAN? SEBUAH PERDEBATAN ANTARA ALBERT RUMAMPUK VS PDT. TEGUH HINDARTO M.Th [PART 2]

BAHASA ASLI PERJANJIAN BARU

1 HARUSKAH NAMA YAHWEH DIGUNAKAN? SEBUAH PERDEBATAN ANTARA ALBERT RUMAMPUK VS PDT. TEGUH HINDARTO M.Th [PART 1]

Tanggal 20 November 2010 yang lalu, Pdt. Teguh Hindarto M.Th (seorang pemuja nama YHWH) membuat catatan tanggapan atas tulisan saya yang berjudul: “SEKTE YAHWEHISME: SEKTE YANG ANEH BIN AJAIB”. Tulisannya itu diberi judul “SEKTE YAHWEH?”
(http://www.facebook.com/notes/shem-tov/sekte-yahweh/463754383810). Kami lalu terlibat diskusi didalamnya sampai berhari-hari.

0 TANGGAPAN ATAS PEMAHAMAN PDT. TEGUH HINDARTO M.TH TENTANG HUKUM TAURAT

Berikut adalah tulisan dari Pdt. Teguh Hindarto M.Th, tentang kesalahan terjemahan Lembaga Alkitab Indonesia soal “pembatalan hukum Taurat” di Efesus 2:15 dan yang langsung saya (Albert Rumampuk) tanggapi.

Pdt. Teguh Hindarto:

APAKAH TORAH TELAH DIBATALKAN MENURUT EFESUS 2:15?

0 COMMON CHARACTERISTICS OF HOW THE CULTS OPERATE

For abusive cults, the key word is CONTROL  CONTROL CONTROL by Submitting to the Leadership - leaders tend to be the absolute end, looked to as prophets of God, as specially anointed apostles. Or they can be a strong, controlling, manipulative personality who demands submission even if he changes his views or conflicts occur in doctrine or behavior. sometimes they can be looked on as God Himself. Often to obey a leader and their teaching is equal to obeying God.
wpe33.jpg (2931 bytes)It can take time for them to gain power over the new convert, but it will eventually be there. Control is usually overwhelming and can cover most aspects of the followers' lives: Dress codes, activities, finances, time,  possessions and relationships. They can dictate to the member who to see, what to do, what is the right thing to say, and how to say it. Various degrees of control can be experienced, from subtle manipulation to blatant ordering. They will expect Rigid obedience of the members time and activities - involving their followers in physically and emotionally draining activities leaving little time for privacy and reflection, or questioning their authority. Expecting one to show up when everyone else does, and everything is usually done in groups.

0 EIGHT MARKS OF ORGANIZED HERESY Which make a CULT

From the beginning of the church we are warned against divisions (Schisms a breaking away which means heresy Rom.16:17-18)

1 Jn.2:19 "they went out from us but they were not of us, if they had been of us , they would have continued with us, but they went out that they might be made known that none of them were of us." John is writing about those who denied Jesus came in the flesh (meaning they did not believe God came as a human and rose bodily). They left the fellowship of believers that were holding to the apostles doctrine. Today many other aberrations just as false have arisen, and given birth to offshoots in the Church.

0 IS IT REVIVAL?

There is much talk in Pentecostal circles about recent happenings among us. These happenings are frequently referred to using the imagery of flowing water. Chances are that the quality and genuineness varies considerably from stream to stream, from church to church, and from person to person. The present author has frequently heard the expressions, "Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater," and, "With every fire comes some wildfire. Don't put out the fire." My intention is not to put out the fire. Rather, it is an attempt at identifying the bathwater so that it can be drained, leaving a clean baby in the tub.

The following are some questions to keep in mind when encountering anything calling itself a revival. These are in no particular order.

0 The Son, Jesus Christ, is God

The Bible present Jesus of Nazareth as possessing the attributes of God. In addition, the Bible says directly that Jesus is God.

Jesus Christ Exhibits the Attributes of God

0 Jesus Christ Never Said He Was God?

INTRODUCTION
Many members of Christian cults claim that Jesus never said He was God. However, the biblical evidence shows that this concept is false. This page examines the claims of divinity that Jesus made about Himself. For other biblical passages that claim that Jesus is God, see Jesus Christ is God (YHVH).
It is true that Jesus never said, "I am God" directly. However, most of His teachings were done through parables, and not by direct statements. His disciples asked Him why He taught this way. His answer was:
And He answered and said to them, "To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted. For whoever has, to him shall more be given, and he shall have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him. Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand." (Matthew 13:11-13)
Those who make the claim that Jesus never claimed to be God are blind and deaf to God's word, by their own choices.

Jesus claims to be the Son of Man

Although the title "Son of Man" may seem fairly innocuous, it is, in fact, a title of the Messiah, of whom the book of Daniel claims that all people will serve and that His kingdom would never end:
"I kept looking in the night visions, And behold, with the clouds of heaven One like a Son of Man was coming, And He came up to the Ancient of Days And was presented before Him. "And to Him was given dominion, Glory and a kingdom, That all the peoples, nations, and men of every language Might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion Which will not pass away; And His kingdom is one Which will not be destroyed. (Daniel 7:13-14)
Obviously, if the Son of Man were only human, He would not be able to establish an eternal kingdom. Likewise, He would not be able to convince all peoples to serve Him. Such abilities and honors are reserved for God alone.

0 What does the Bible say about gay marriage / same sex marriage?

Question: "What does the Bible say about gay marriage / same sex marriage?"

Answer:
While the Bible does address homosexuality, it does not explicitly mention gay marriage/same-sex marriage. It is clear, however, that the Bible condemns homosexuality as an immoral and unnatural sin. Leviticus 18:22 identifies homosexual sex as an abomination, a detestable sin. Romans 1:26-27 declares homosexual desires and actions to be shameful, unnatural, lustful, and indecent. First Corinthians 6:9 states that homosexuals are unrighteous and will not inherit the kingdom of God. Since both homosexual desires and actions are condemned in the Bible, it is clear that homosexuals “marrying” is not God’s will, and would be, in fact, sinful.

0 What does the Bible say about homosexuality? Is homosexuality a sin?

Question: "What does the Bible say about homosexuality? Is homosexuality a sin?"

Answer:
The Bible consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). Romans 1:26-27 teaches specifically that homosexuality is a result of denying and disobeying God. When people continue in sin and unbelief, God “gives them over” to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God. 1 Corinthians 6:9 proclaims that homosexual “offenders” will not inherit the kingdom of God.

0 Who is God?

Many religions describe a being referred to as "God." Some of these religions describe the being God as one of many other gods created by more powerful gods or councils of gods. However, for the purpose of this paper, we are going to use the definition of God contained in the Bible. As such, God is the Spirit hovering over the waters of the primordial Earth—Creator of the universe (matter, energy, space, and time), along with other principalities and beings whose primary existence is outside this universe. However, God did not just create the universe and leave it to its own fate as deists proclaim. God is the personal being who walked and talked with Adam and Eve, the first human beings, in the garden of Eden. God is also Savior of mankind, coming to Earth in the person of Jesus of Nazareth to provide the ultimate example of holiness and the ultimate sacrifice for humanity's evilness, in order to restore our personal relationship with Him.

0 The I AM statements of Jesus

Who do you say Jesus is? Jesus asked this same question to his disciples about what others thought of him and then asked what they thought of him.

Jn.5:37: "And the Father himself, who sent me, has borne witness of me. You have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. ‘Jesus gives the source of his commission, which is from the Father personally. It is the Fathers voice and form they have not seen, yet Christ has.

0 Manuscript evidence for superior New Testament reliability

The New Testament is constantly under attack and its reliability and accuracy are often contested by critics.  But, if the critics want to disregard the New Testament, then they must also disregard other ancient writings by Plato, Aristotle, and Homer. This is because the New Testament documents are better-preserved and more numerous than any other ancient writings. Because they are so numerous, they can be cross checked for accuracy... and they are very consistent.

0 For the Gentiles I Became a Gentile

As long as it did not violate God’s Word or compromise the gospel, Paul was willing to accommodate himself to his audience. As we noted in the last post, that was certainly true of his Jewish audience. But Paul didn’t stop with the Jews. He demonstrated the same heart of sacrifice toward the Gentiles—all for the sake of the gospel.

Going back to the ninth chapter of 1 Corinthians, you read in verse 21, “To those who are without law, [I become] as without law, though not being without the law of God but under the law of Christ, that I might win those who are without law.” “Those who are without law” are the Gentiles. Note the qualifier Paul inserted. He specifically stated that he is “not … without the law of God but under the law of Christ.” He clearly was not saying he became morally lawless to please despisers of true righteousness.

0 Sinode Gereja Protestan Maluku (GPM) Sayangkan Kelambanan Aparat Stabilkan Situasi Kota Ambon

0 For the Jews I Became Jewish, Part 2

For the Jews I Became Jewish, Part 2

When Paul wrote, “To the Jews I became as a Jew … to those who are under the Law, as under the Law” (1 Corinthians 9:20), he was not talking about accommodating the message. He was simply saying he would not jeopardize his ability to preach the message by unnecessarily offending people.

0 For the Jews I Became Jewish, Part 1

As we noted in the last post, Paul was not advocating “contextualization” when he wrote to the Corinthians, “I have become all things to all men, that I may be all means save some.” He was calling for self-denial and sacrifice for the sake of reaching unbelievers with the gospel.
